I am an experienced therapist who has been providing provided individual, family, couples, and group therapy to children and families in Chicago for a decade.  I earned a Bachelors of Arts at The University of Chicago in 1999; a Masters in Social Work (M.S.W.) at Loyola University, Chicago in 2006; and a Masters of Science (M.S.) in Child Development at the Erikson Institute in 2005.  I completed internships at the Virginia Frank Child Development Center and at the University of Chicago Department of Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry.  I provide therapy and clinical supervision at a social work agency, maintaining a commitment to working with a diverse clientele.  I am committed to exploring each individual's unique needs and goals for therapy.

I have consulted and presented on social and emotional wellness of preschool to school-aged children to educate teachers, parents, and fellow mental health providers on the unique needs of young children and families. Consultative services included workshops for parents and teachers, individual, and classroom observations.   I have collaborated with public and private schools extensively in the Chicago and suburbs and have supported parents seeking Individualized Educational Plans (IEP's) for their children.

Through the learning collaborative in Chicago and through Jewish Child Family Services, I have received advanced training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and have participated in group study of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Individual and Family Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy for couples. I have served as a Field Instructor for Masters level Social Work and Child Development graduate students and currently supervise a staff of clinical social workers and counselors working in a family-centered social service agency.

In June of 2014, I presented at the World Infant Mental Health Association's annual conference in Edinburgh, Scotland.
